Health Alert!: Are you drinking the right Malta Guinness?

For the past week, many Ghanaians have been wondering if they are consuming the “right” Malta Guinness product from Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited.
This follows pictures and comments on social media that show two cans of the product that are clearly different in packaging but bear the same name and logo.
As one Facebook user, Kofi Gbedemah earlier put it: “There's a difference between these two cans. I want to know from Diageo (Guinness Ghana Ltd) if they're both genuine.”
But Malta Guinness Ghana has since responded, saying that both products are genuine.

In a Facebook post, it said the two products are “brewed in our sister company in Nigeria and a Licenced Brewer in Togo.”

Reference to comments on social media about Malta Guinness cans, we would like to state that Malta Guinness is a premium brand from Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited (GGBL), a subsidiary of Diageo PLC which operates in over 180 countries over the world.
Both cans trending on social media are genuine Malta Guinness products, brewed in our sister company in Nigeria and a Licenced Brewer in Togo.
